Overview
Remote perimeters rarely have power where you need it. Trenching mains cable to a fence line is often the single largest cost of a detection project, and on rural, temporary or protected-land sites it may not be possible at all.
APS engineers its systems for extremely low power consumption, which makes them ideal for solar operation. A Flexiguard™ analyzer draws just 0.5 watts on average, so a modest panel and battery keep a detection zone running around the clock, with wireless alarm transmission removing the need for signal cabling too.
The approach is proven in the field: a UK solar farm runs fully wireless, solar-powered Flexiguard™ detection across its rural boundary, with alarms verified by CCTV and no mains power at the perimeter. Whatever the APS technology, our engineers can size a solar solution for your site.
