Flexiguard™

Overview

Flexiguard™ is a microphonic perimeter intrusion detection system (PIDS) built around the FS30X series analyzer and a highly sensitive vibration sensor cable, processed in-house to make it the most sensitive microphonic cable available. Attached to the fabric of a fence, the cable detects an intruder cutting, climbing or lifting the fence and raises the alarm before the intrusion.

The same cable also protects buildings. Mounted on the walls of a warehouse or store, Flexiguard™ picks up the vibrations of a forced-entry attempt, extending detection from the fence line to the building itself. Automatic Environmental Control (A.E.C.) is built into the analyzer to prevent false alarms from wind, rain or barbed-wire movement.

Through customer training, advanced techniques can be learned and used to filter out unwanted, unavoidable sources of vibration without risking PIDS integrity.

With extremely low power consumption, Flexiguard™ is ideal for solar-powered installation, and a wireless alarm communication option removes the need for cabling back to the gatehouse. Trusted on some of the world’s most critical sites, including 14.2 km of perimeter around archaeological sites at the Pyramids of Egypt.
