Overview

Omni Guard Radar provides integrated surveillance for building sites and other large-perimeter applications. The solution combines perimeter radar with a PTZ camera, 4G transmission, local recording, alarm integration and battery backup, deployable as a bespoke mobile platform or a fixed installation.

With an operational range of up to 200 metres, a single system can cover an area of approximately 125,000 square metres. The radar detects movement from people and vehicles in all weather conditions, and when movement is detected the PTZ camera is automatically directed towards the target for clear imagery day and night.

Unlike PIR sensors, which rely on detecting emitted heat, radar is an active system that measures the environment. Advanced algorithms with sensitivity and clutter settings let the installer define active detection areas across 36 zones, reducing false alarms from trees, small animals and nearby roads, while multi-level cause-and-effect rules route each alarm to the right responder.

For long, straight boundaries, Beam-Guard Perimeter Radar creates a narrow beam-break detection zone of up to 400 metres between two units, combining the detection probability of microwave PIDS with radar geo-positioning and slew-to-cue camera control.
