The Challenge

A US state Department of Corrections prison was operating a failing proprietary NLEF system. The client required a replacement that integrated with the facility's existing bipolar wire array, field boxes and fibre-optic communications network, installed within fifteen working days.

The Solution

APS supplied bipolar energisers that integrated directly with the existing communication protocol and wire configuration, exceeding the performance specification for output voltage, spike resistance and reporting, in a unit footprint 50% smaller than the incumbent hardware. The system runs on Windows-based, open-protocol control software.

The Result
